Rookie, lookin to explore photography. Just got a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX200V. Now searcing for editing software for my iMac Snow Leopard. Any suggestions? Happy to have found UH :)

Welcome to UHH. You asked about editing software. I think Photoshop CS6 is the bench mark (or Adobe Light Room).
I know others have tried "Firestone" free off the net and I have heard Picassa(?? spelling) also free is ok but I've never used it. Hope that helps - there is many,many more though.
