Located in the east foothills of the Cascade Range, lies the tiny community of Liberty. And just as you approach the town is this old abandoned cabin. As to its age, I've not a clue, but at one time it had electrical power. Anyway, it caught my eye and immediately saw the image in black & white. Only a few minor adjustments were made, plus a touch of sepia tone and a soft vignette. Comments are welcome. Good, bad, or otherwise. Ken

It's apparent you made just the right adjustments to create this appealing image. I think it's charming, Photobum.

Nice job. I think I remember this as we have been by there many times. I will look more carefully next time as I am usually driving.

Nicely done. We go through Auburn when we go north to see the grandkids and daughter in Everett. I’ll walk a mile to stay off of I-5 through Tacoma and Seattle.

Unless my memory fails me, Liberty was a gold mining venture that didn't produce much. There was a 99 year lease that the state didn't want to renew when it expired about 20 years ago. There was a big stink because the lessees tried to sue the state for the value of the cabin they had built on the leased land. Can anyone verify or dispute my memory?

Focus and overall exposure are good. Composition is a tad too centered for my taste. But that's just my opinion

Ken, Perhaps a bit more surroundings to put the cabin more in it's environment with the cabin comfortably off center of the frame . (Either back away a bit or zoom out a bit.)
Everyone has a different preference but mine would be to selectively lighten the darkest tones by about 1/2 to 2/3 stop to allow a titch more texture in the wood on the left side the cabin and provide a bit of texture and detail to the dark evergreen background.

Heres my take on the photo. The only post processing change was to lighten the darks (o.25 on the darks slider in Photo's edit settings)
