Posted a couple pictures on 9/9/19 in the gallery section, but they never made it there. If I click on All Sections,then click on photo gallery, my pictures are there, but they never actualy made into the general gallery section. Am I making scence? I just can't figure out why it is in the gallery, but not IN the gallery. ?????

9/9 or 10/9?
Use the 'watch topics' link at the top of the page to find posts you've started or posted into (unless you 'unwatch' a topic).
Click your user name that is a URL link to your own profile. From there, click the link of topics created. You can see the date, location and activity on every topic you've created.
The 'my topics' link at the top of the page is a direct link to the list of topics you've created.
Use the 'watch topics' link at the top of the page to find posts you've started or posted into (unless you 'unwatch' a topic).

Not every posted photo makes it into the gallery. You can look back through "newest topics" or "my topics" to find it.

Your photos made it into the "Photo Gallery" section. Like you say, when you go to "All Sections" and click on the "Photo Gallery", you see your photos there.
Many users post photos to the "Photo Gallery" section every day, and on occasion, not all of the photos that are posted in the "Photo Gallery" show up and appear in the "Photo Gallery" section that is listed in the "Ugly Hedgehog Forum Digest" every day. Sometimes this happens. For a better answer, PM Admin and ask him why.

Is there some sort of selection prosses that determins what gets posted? I just assumed (wrongly) that once you hit send, it automaticaly gets posted for all the world to see. Is it an automated system, or are there guardians of rightiousness that monitor these images? huh' guess mom likes you best. I did find it it my topics though. Guess I'll just have to improve on my picture tking skills so that I run with the BIG dogs. sniff sniff.

What you call the "gallery section" is actually the emailed daily digest. Photo Gallery receives 50 - 100 topics daily, but there is room for only 35 in the digest. The full Photo Gallery is here:

Each new comment bumps a topic to the top of the newest page, so those with few comments disappear very quickly - to page 2, 3, 4 and so on.
As to what goes into the digest, it's mostly based on the traffic generated the day of posting (which is the day prior to the digest, except for "upcoming"). Traffic is based on buddy list (those who follow specific members) and those who spend a lot of time on the site, along with - I assume - interest in topic title or subject of the photo (for those using "newest pictures" to browse). Also, not everyone receives exactly the same digest since the forum has worldwide membership and topics are posted throughout the 24-hour period.

My recommendation to everyone:
Cancel the digest and use "newest topics" at the top of any UHH page. Once a person subscribes to all the smaller sections of interest, everything will be included in "newest topics." It's one-click shopping and is organized with newest at top. It is not related to number of comments.
To find the smaller (volunteer-moderated) areas, click on "all sections" at the bottom of this page. Click the subscribe button to any you wish to include in your list.
