While I was out setting up soccer fields for games tomorrow, I decided to get out and test out the lens. The weather is finally in the 80's and bearable to be outdoors, so it was a nice, semi-calm evening along Perdido Bay.

C&C always welcome!

Hopefully, it was the site's glowing recommendation that prompted you to go with this model.

Jealous! I want one now! Not in my budget, though - maybe next year?

This site and many other reviews that prompted me to go with this lens. I still have to learn how to use it, but wanted to get it out before I take it to the beaches for my sunset shots.

Yeah, it was an easier sell at $200 than the L series I was trying to talk my better half into

I heard about that lens from a uhh member, who is a big Canon fan. It's an inexpensive lens. On your crop sensor with a 1.6X factor, you will have a FOV of 16-29mm. Nikon has a similar lens for DX DSLRs, the AF-P 10-20mm. Enjoy your new lens.

Yeah, there wasn't much bad press about it, so I decided to take a chance on it. And since I stick to mostly landscape, I figured it was a great complement to my EF-S 24mm/f 2.8 prime and the other two kit lenses that I have.

Thanks much!

He said it was an EF-S which would still be a 10-18 MM lens on a crop censer camera.

I love that lens in the tight streets of European towns. I have also used it in fast-moving candid play shots with the grandkids.

Yes, Al is correct. I have had this lens since it first came out. A great lens for the price!

This is one of the best lenses for the money. I used the earlier, heavier 10-22 that was spectacular. You can probably find a good used one pretty reasonably.
