Red birds...red things.
As a bird photographer, one habit I can’t break myself of is taking images of cardinals wherever I may find them. I guess it’s because they’re so RED! So, I asked myself, “Why are humans so attracted to red?” Well, you can Google the answer for yourselves. I’ll just stick to things I’m comfortable with, providing images of some of the red birds I’ve encountered.
Northern cardinal, Texas
Scarlet tanager Texas
Vermillion flycatcher, Arizona
Cinnamon teal, California
Crimson-backed tanager, Panama
Elegant trogon, Arizona
Anna's hummingbird, California
Scarlet macaw, Costa Rioca
Linneated woodpecker, Panama
Phyruloxia, Arizona
Thjere’s something about a red bird . . . .

Oh God they are so beautiful Dean. You and Mr. Sihng are the two best Bird Photographers I know of and I always enjoy what you guys come up with when you shoot. I am so glad I discovered this site and all the fabulous people that inhabit & frequent it's gallery and blog space. I have learned so much in just a little more than a year's time and look forward to each new day's articles for discussion & exhibition.
Thanks again....love what you do.
And to think, I called them all "red birds" until I joined this group! I've learned a lot about birds here.
Amazing series, I love it.
When does your book come out? It should.
