Whenever I see the cockpits of sophisticated modern airplanes it amazes me how much knowledge it must take to understand what all the gauges and switches actually do and measure for flight. Hats-off to all the pilots that keep us safe in the air and the engineers that create these amazing machines.

They're actually pretty easy once explained. Each engine has a set of gauges, so you have a repeated set for each one. X4 on this plane.
These were taken at Newquay aircraft museum ,well worth a visit ,you can actually sit in the cockpit of most of the planes.
Nice set, travelled a few times with the RAF on VC10's, loved the sound of those Conway engines! I believe the 10 still holds the sub-sonic transatlantic record for the fastest crossing!
