Been waking up to a number of mornings with lots of fog..Love fog and swamps. love fog and swamps together,but that doesn"t happen too often. Anyway,,,in expectation of another delightful foggy start , I dragged myself out of bed at 5:00 a.m. in order to get to and climb mt.pisgah in hopes of one of those killer shots of the valley below.
I live on a hill,so on foggy mornings,I'm in the cloud bank so I cannot see below me. Mount pisgah is somewhat over 600' in elevation.
Not exactly nose bleed height, but the view is one of the least cluttered views around. Untill the trees loose their leaves, there are very few Mcmansions cluttering up Gods handiwork.
It is about a 20 min. uphill hike. Just enough to get the old heart pounding. Just getting light as I appoached the summit. I'm thinking ...layers of fog working thier way down the hills to the lowlands.
Nope, not so much. One of those times when one has to make do with what is presented to you.
thought it whould be a bust, but I got a few pleasing shots.
#1. fog lake. Couldn't come up with a classier title. #2. inland island. I like that title better.

Enjoy.It was cold and fun, plan on trying it again.
