Epson ET-7750 depositing ink on paper...
Guess this also applies to other printers but specifically looking for help with the EcoTank ET-7750.
It keeps leaving black lines on photos but also on plain paper too. The suggestion in the manual says to use cleaning paper but seems like the method they suggest is not available on my printer/firmware as there is no option for this on the menu where the manual says it should be? It's not confined to the rear paper feed but the cassette fed paper too. I've tried cleaning the clear strip but can't get access to the area behind the printer head. My old Epson Photo R2400 you had to pull the mains plug whilst it was in action so you can physically move the head. I guess that's what I have to do with this? Would welcome advice from other users of this otherwise excellent printer (why oh why didn't they make it A3+ though?)
Cheers.
For the record...
Epson agreed that the printer shouldn't do this, it would appear ink was building up on the sponge underneath the head in the 'parked' position and being picked up by the head and deposited on the paper. They (Epson UK) have replaced my printer.
Moral of the story; if you have a problem always report it to the maker before the warranty expires...
