Looks a lot like this guy, mid June 2015, and the same spot.
Was your shot also mid June?

Yes it was. Get Info on my computer tells me it was June 17, 2015. There were half a dozen males and a lot of cows. This guy was closest and my wife and I felt so lucky that he was in a good position for this shot. My wife and I stayed in Estes Park a number of times and took many excursions on the roads in RMNP.
Great possibility they are the same. Thanks for sharing.

June 19, 2015, is the date on my photo. He was a looker, for sure, and just losing his winter hair.
My first visit to RMNP and Estes was way back in 1955. Not there often, but always fun.
