D7500 time differences

I just bought a D7500 Nikon and I love it except for one problem. When I down load pictures the time stamp changes to six hours earlier than the stamp that the camera put on. It does this on both my computer and my wifes computer. I have checked the time and zone on the camera and both computers and when viewed on the cameras screen the proper time stamp with the file number is still shown. Any one have any idea why this is occurring?

One of the clocks involved is set the GMT rather than your local time zone. Check page 27 of your D7500 manual for details on setting the time zone on the camera.

I just checked again and the camera is set for UTC-7 which is the Denver Phonix area which is right for me. I've never had problems with the time stamp on my D3100 or M100 Canon.

How about the computer? One is using the wrong time zone. Call Nikon at their 800-number if you still can't determine where the problem clock resides. Or, something in the copy process is wrong (?), but that I don't know how. Nikon may know of a problem with that model, firmware, etc.

Nope, both computers are set for the right time zone.
Thanks for your help. That is the great thing about UHH, the pros are always willing to help. I'll give Nikon a call tomorrow.

Could one device be set to 24 hour format & the others set to AM PM format?

Its possible, I'm thinking now that it could possibly be my card reader but I had the same results using the cable and hooking the camera up.
Thanks for the idea.

Just shifted the computer to a 24hr clock. Still have the same problem.
Thanks anyway.

Just looking around the internet ... one person said GPS was tagging images with wrong time. In their case they were off by 9 hours. ???

I don't think GPS is turned on but I will check. Thanks for the tip.

No built in GPS. That eliminates that possibility, but thanks for the idea.

Identical problem with 7200. Tried all the steps. Just gave up because it is not that critical an issue.

This is another example demonstrating what is likely a known issue. Hopefully, our OP will contact Nikon support and share the solution, if found.

Interesting. I will have to check my Nikons for this....but I have never noticed a time difference with any of mine. Sony bodies and Nikons have always seemed to show correct time stamps in use and in download, as do my laptop and desktop.

Thank you for your response, it is good to know I'm not alone, I will keep battling with the problem and hopefully we can both benefit.
