Just back from 2-week trip to Tetons and Colorado. Left the Tetons (and the abundant wildlife photos) during a fresh snowfall to head to sunny Colorado where the autumn color was peeking.
I'll be editing hundreds of photos for a while, but here's a few of Colorado's autumn this year. It looks like a stellar year for color. The Owl Creek Pass area was especially nice. BTW, if you have ever travelled the Owl Creek 4WD road before, it is now a nice dirt & gravel 2WD road. They are in the final completion of construction. Just be aware of the giant rock trucks when coming around a sharp narrow corner.

And a trip over Owl Creek Pass wouldn't be complete without stopping at Deb's Meadows and standing in the footsteps of "The Duke" in front of the boulder where his horse was shot during the shootout in "True Grit".

~ Oh! VERY well done! Awesome captures!
Wonderful array of photographs. Beautiful shots that make me envious of your opportunity. Around here, we have Rocky Mountain maples splashing patches of crimson on our brown hills. I have wanted to shoot Fall color in Colorado and you just made me start planning for next year. Thanks for the inspiration!

Very nice group of pictures. Here in New England the colors have started to turn up north but the roads are clogged getting there so am waiting for the colors to get to central NE so I can do some justice to them. I especially like the Owl Creek Image.

Thanks MoT. Keep an eye on the change, and get out there and enjoy. The Owl Creek area was fantastic. A lady there made a comment to me. She said the camera really can't capture the image we are seeing in person, can it? I replied that it takes a lot of effort to do it justice, but while I was editing the photos, I remembered what she said and now agree. There is no substitute to actually being there in the sunshine.
