Lightroom Print Module-Problem

I have been using Lr for several years and have never had a problem with the Print Module. I have a custom print size of 7.167x10.75. This size keeps 4x6 ratio in reasonable proportion, and allows me to fill the 8.5x11in paper nearly competely without cropping the photo. I have been printing this size for 4 years, ever since I got my Epson 3880. No probems! I have custom matting for this size print, and do y own matting and framing.

Now, I am having the following problem: My user template still indicates a size of 7.167x10.75. However, whenI select this, the actual print size reads 7.919x10.75. If I adjust the cell size to the dimentions I desire (7.16x10.75) the print size reads 7.167x9.729. In other words the print size seems to be adjusting independently of the cell size adjustment, and independently of the custom primt size I have previously created. I have tried shutting down and re-opening Lr, with no success.

Your thoughts are welcome.
Thanks.
Steve

I don't recall the 3880 setups although I did own one before my current P800 which I've had for quite a while now. I can't say why something would change on its own, but I can say you do have to account for margins and that setting a print size can be more complicated than it should be some times. You need to BE SURE that ALL the settings in PAGE SETUP AND PRINT SETTINGS are correct and that they carry over properly to the PRINTER tab. You also need to be sure that your MARGINS and CELL SIZE are properly set before you actually hit print. I suspect your troubles are somewhere in there. Other things such a current printer driver and software and firmware versions may also have an influence. I am using the latest version of Classic and the latest version of Mac IOS. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

Thanks, cjc. My prints were perfect yesterday. I changed nothing manually, yet today the problem I described.

Was anything updated. What platform? What versions of Adobe/OS?

Though I have an older version of LR, it will not let me input 3 decimals.

dannac,
That doesn’t matter. As you can see, your cell size is the same as your print size. Mine was just like that. Today the print size does not match the cell size. If I enter the height, the width changes. And, if I select a custom size I previously prepared (and have been using for years) I get a different size on the print.

What is the version of your Mac OS and what version of Lr are you using?

The os is the one prior to the most current. Lr Classic. Keep in mind, up until today everything worked perfectly! I doubt very strongly this has anything to do with my os, Lr version, or drivers.

Needed to check. You are fairly current. My best suggestion at this point would be to check, and re-check everything starting with your printer driver. I know that I have had issues when I failed to select the same paper size in the first two options I mentioned. You could also try calling Adobe support as that's where I THINK your issue lies. I have found them helpful. Best of luck.

Thanks! I appreciate your efforts to help. I probably will have to call Adobe. I was looking for a “quick” solution and hoping to avoid that call.

Are other templates working correctly ?
Is it just user templates not working ?

Maybe delete the bad template from user template folder ???
