Folks, I just bought the above mentioned lens, and I put it on my D850. Wow! It's very sharp, nice bouquet portraits, pictures with good color saturation. I loved it.

I've been using that lens for 1 1/2 years now. Best 24-70mm on the market. Sharpest in the corners by far!

The chart is from DxOMark. This is one of those times where both Sigma and Tamron make at least as good a lens, if not a better lens, than Nikon at a better price. I went with the Tamron version and am very pleased with it as well.

No doubt Sigma's art lenses are optically excellent. Too bad they are so large and heavy.

Thats EXACTLY why they are so optically excellent! Fantastic optical glass in all elements mounted in a solid metal housing.

This lens in the Nikon F mount is it equivalent to the G lenses or E type lenses. I don't think there is an aperture ring on it. Of course either type would work on my DSLR but I would want to use it on my film camera too.

I wish now that I had compared the Sigma 24-70 to the Tamron 24-70 G2 series for Nikon. But so far I am getting good images from my Tamron 24-70 G2 series.
I may trade/sell my Tamron 150-600 G2 and get a Sigma or Tamron 70-200 which would be more practical for me. Because of my age and arthritis I rarely use the Tamron 150-600.

I have the new Sig 70-200 Sport. Be aware-it is a heavy lens. Wonderfully sharp, though.

I have the Tamron 24-70mm G2 almost pemanently attached to my D850 and I love the output of this lens.
Matt Granger tested the Sigma, Tamron and Nikon (not current version) of their 24-70mm lenses in this link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isUilwPJkoc

I will definitely check out the Sig 70-200. I live close to Hunt's Photo & Video (just outside of Boston) and so I will try one in their store.

I'm glad you're enjoying the lens. By the way I think you were referring to bokeh, the quality of the out-of-focus areas, not bouquet which is a arranged group of flowers or the complex aromas of a wine.

HEAVY IS GOOD.......the Sigma Art Series are a wonderful group of optics for a camera and I am seriously considering the purchase of one for myself. The 105mm f1.4 is The Beast /Bokeh Master excellent for a studio/tripod- mounted portrait lens.....not so much for walk-around though.
One of the largest lenses out there currently (105mm dia. filter size....massive)
I love it !

Sorry, thank you for the correction. It's bokeh!

There is no reason to be sorry. I only mentioned it in case you were unfamiliar with the most common English spelling of this Japanese word.
