This lighthouse is about 50 miles from San Francisco, it is one of the highest on the west coast. I have photographed the place for a lifetime, however the place got so neglected, rust is appearing, it is a shame. I contacted my congressmen many times over the years, always" We will see". I gave up. The newspaper printed now that the money was given to fix the lighthouse, I am delighted. I will not be able to see it anymore but all they younger generation can enjoy the way it was.

Beautiful series, Mike. We have a lighthouse near here that is a restoration project. It is a very slow process on the one here. Hope yours goes better.

I have the same attachment to the lighthouses of New England, Mike as you do for the lighthouses on the west coast. They represent so much history and deserve to stand as permanent monuments to that history. You’ve certainly done your part to help preserve this one for future generations to enjoy. Bravo on a job well done.

Beautiful images Mike, it's a shame certain things get neglected.
