Fantastic! Great Shots.

I have a friend who has several hives. I am going to his place and see what kind of photos I can take without disturbing the hive. He say, based on his setup, that he puts a dollop of honey on a table and the bees make a "bee-line" for the honey. I will get with him to see what is the safest way to photograph the bees. I will post some of the resulting photos when I get done.

Thanks Foggy, I've always got my head stuck in a bush shooting Bees...they won't sting if you don't try to touch them or stop them doing what they do...sometimes they are even curious and hover near me and watch for a while... these shots were taken from only a few inches away with my 150mm macro lens...

I do not have any micros, but plan to try with all my lenses. I have gotten some great close shots with my 70-300mm lense that starts away, then zooms in as close from as far as I can.

Beautiful, Ron. Better than some of my macros of bees.
