Foster Brooks roasts Rickles - I think this is just about the funniest video I've ever seen.
Enjoy.

I won't watch it. Alcoholism and being drunk is not funny.

I watched it but I have to agree. Not funny.

I thought Foster Brooks was hilarious, as did Dean Martin, Lorne Green and Don Rickles, and not forgetting the rest of the panel and the Audience. I would imagine the majority of the viewers watching on the Television would also agree.

One of the funniest roasts I have ever seen. BTW, that is an ACT that Foster Brooks puts on.
Rich...
On a flight to Atlanta Georgia Foster Brooks was on the plane and the stewards invited him to the cabin and he spoke over the intercom as if he was the drunk pilot, he had everyone in stitches.
A great combination of entertainers.
I find all of Foster Brooks’ roasts hilarious. I thought I read once where he is a non drinker. To me the most amazing thing is he never cracks up himself. People around him are roaring and he stays stonefaced.
If you can find a copy of the Foster Brooks PSA on boating safety, also very funny.
My dad used to do a drunk act at meetings and he never drank! My mom and I would watch Foster Brooks after my dad passed away and laugh and cry at the same time. When you see a real drunk you appreciate how good Foster (and my dad) were.

AFTER you watch this, let YouTube continue and it will play Don Rickles Revenge of the same Roast. It, too, is hilarious. Today's humor is not as funny as what came from all of these old comedians.
At the time of this video, we laughed at the drunk. Today we are seeing the pain drunks have caused themselves and others. They're not so funny anymore. That's why there are no drunk comic act today like there were then.

I agree with your sentiment!

I agree that 'laughing at the drunk' was always a bad idea, but in this case we are laughing along with the 'drunk' and his story. It probably says good things about comedy and culture that the drunk impersonator is a relic of the past, but I greatly prefer that 'insensitive' past to our current state, where outrage protest, the hecklers' veto and and cancel-culture have almost eradicated humor and comedy from the western world. We all know the fastest road to desolation is to remove educated dissent......
I can only pray that 40 years on, people will be negatively reviewing our current state of comedy-banning and will be celebrating the rebirth and new relevance of comedy in 2060.
"I can only pray that 40 years on..."
I sure hope it happens a lot sooner than that!
