I will admit I am a bit kultyoolee in the backwoods so I missed the intent, but ladies and jackets do make a pairing combination, I think they just like dress up and dress for the shots.
I read your post but resorted to Google for that word I did not know (not surprising, I'm lame when it comes to words), so it came out kult roolee. Basically it appears to be a bag dress. Oh I'm sure that I am displaying cultural ignorance. But then I have a number of these items on the studio clothing racks. I saw a few that where the many button up the front, huba-huba, I do like those and have several of them. So I'm not a 100% total creation it would seem.
You have the essential element of figure photography. I do admit I manipulate the event, TOTALY. When working with the models/women I do what I call 'the shell game'. After the basic starter, I will change something simple in the accessory or the clothing. Then continue. Get her out of most of the outfit and change to something that has a sensual feel, covers most of the body in front. Then point out their reflection in a full length mirror that has them bare but looking super sleek. Most women hate the way three things look their nose, there boobs and always their ass. So I just go on and on about what a fine gorgeous rear end they have and how it makes them look so curvy, sexy and well like Marilyn or Bettie (Page). I also slip the comment, "But you know that, I'm just a sexist male, forgive me?"
It is ever so important to engage the woman in banter and feed their view of how beautiful they are. So clothing is used to cover up selectively to show off their assets. So jackets are so great for such things.
Then and finally when they are ready, get them out of their clothes, usually with a single accessory. Chosen to show off their eyes or the point of their aroused erect nipples poking through a shear cloth, even tie it on to their upper torso. But you must learn to be totally calculating while being a dunder head.
I was shooting with Nan and she had her legs togeather and to one side, I got up close to her, pinned my knee to the far knee and moved her other knee so she was spread leg facing the camera. I adjusted the main light and popped a polaroid, looked at it, and then said looks super sexy, then handed the Polaroid to her, the lighting change showed NOTHING, she was in deep shadow below. Then I pulled the shear cloth top up so her nipples just showed coming out from under the rim of the cloth. She looked at her boobs then looked at me. "Men will look at your open legs and think you know what! But we have to give them those perky nipples to gave at!" I turned her head to one side and popped a polaroid and while it processed I did a set with the Hasselblad. Then I showed her the processed Polaroid.
Guess what I got then, "When you do the proofs for me to see, make me a big print so I can see this, I know it will be super sexy!"
Three days later she stopped off to see the proofs and I had made a couple of 8X10's, "Where is my sexy portrait, the one with my legs open and showing my hard nipples?" I stood up and turned a 16X20 framed print from facing the wall, yes the print. I got a big huge, "I'm hanging this in my bed room next to my bed, I look gorgeous, I look like a total slut!" It is always ok for any woman to call herself a slut with a big grin on her face!
Spoiler alert, never call a woman a slut even if she just said it about herself. I never say that about any woman to any other woman, it is a right reserved for women to use on each other!
A month later, I got the use of a bunch of mannequins. I asked Nan what we should do to make an image. I got that wicked smile of mischief and she announced, "We are redoing my slut picture but with the wall of mannequins behind, and this time no shadowing down below, but I need a mask!"
That final image!
