From this week's New Yorker (my favorite magazine). The story of a man whose inspiration was Ansel Adams, and who should inspire all of us.

Mine came yesterday. I don't even live in New York any more, but it's always a highlight of my week. Even at $150 a year, it's worth the subscription.

Thank you for posting this Andy. It is a very interesting story about a very unique vision. Cooper really does take the art to a new level.

I was just reading the latest issue - fascinating person with his 1898 Agfa. I went to the Edinburg gallery that sells his works - unfortunately, my favorite selenium-toned silver gelatin print cost £10,000 (limited edition of 4).

Wow! Of course asking is not always the same as getting, but still. That's recognition to be sure.

He was a darkroom assistant for Professor Tom Knight at Humboldt State University, Arcata, California during the early seventies.
