I have also owned the 3021 since the 80's and is still my only tripod. I have the 3047 bogen head that has supported my 35mm cameras, my Mamiya 645's, Mamiya RB67, Bronica S2, and originally my B&J 4x5. I see no reason it can't work just fine. Prices on ebay run the gamut from very inexpensive to a bit pricey but not so much so.
