Hunt’s Photo and Video offers an instructor led photo safari to Tanzania. I know and deeply respect the instructor so I know it will be a great trip. Many of my friends went on the last one and said it was the experience of a lifetime. Here’s the link: https://edu.huntsphoto.com/hunts-photo-adventures/

You’ll also see some of the other photo adventures they offer.

I recommend John Gerlach. While I haven't been on his African trip, I have been on 5 of his other workshops and always come away with great photos and improved photography skills. This link will get you to his workshops and an article about taking great shots in Africa. John will take your skills up a level and you will have a good time! He is a master of finding the most simple way to master photography skills. https://www.gerlachnaturephoto.com/single-post/2018/11/22/My-2019-Schedule-of-Workshops-and-Tours

Good question, but to properly answer because there are so many variables, it would be helpful to know how long you could extend your stay, what is your level of photography, what degree of accommodations would you accept, and what is your budget. Further, is this possibly the first trip, or is it the trip of a lifetime. My wife and I have visited Africa on photographic trip some six times, most recently two months ago to South Africa, Kenya, and Botswana. We have also visited Namibia, Zimbabwe, Uganda, and Tanzania. At this point, we plan our own trips using Best Safaris and Sun World vehicles and drivers. Each trip gets better and our last trip blew the roof off. We know a number of photographers who offer complete packages, and depending on your interests, we would be happy to provide our suggestions. Africa is addictive, so beware of becoming an addict!

My husband and I just returned from a photographic safari in South Africa. Check out Eagle Eye Safaris. They were very affordable and took great care of us. We came home with 6,000 upclose photos. Make sure you go with a company that can go off road so you can get great photos. I can’t wait to go back and I will definitely be using Eagle Eye Safaris again.

If your main interest is photographing African wildlife I would recommend Zimanga Private Reserve. They cater to photographers, with blinds designed and set up for photography. Including overnight hides! They are in Zululand in South Africa. They have a low limit of how many guest they take at any one time. Check them out on the net!

I have visited several countries in Africa, both solo and with a group. I love traveling with Natural Habitat. Dave Luck is a wonderful photographer who also happens to be the best guide I have ever had. He leads photography focused groups and "regular" safaris. Both are great. I would choose based on my schedule. I have only traveled with him in Botswana but he may do other countries.

Just recently, I have watched several You Tube Videos of Safaris in Southern Africa. Wildlife there is incredible. Lions, Hyenas, leopards, warthogs, impalas, wild dogs, giraffes, hippopotamuses, rhinoceroses, crocodiles, cheetahs, wildebeests, water buffaloes, elephants, and more.. I saw a hippopotamus ram a tour bus. A male lion was viciously attacked by many hyenas, and was only saved when his brother arrived at that scene. Just one extra male lion arriving, dispersed all of those hyenas. Lions hate hyenas. The teamwork lions employ, male and female, to take down a large water buffalo is amazing to see. The lion family has to eat to survive. But, animals hunting, one another, is not the main reason to go on a Safari. The scenery is simply beautiful too. Who wouldn't want to go on a Southern African Safari? Now, I see why.

Look at Todd Gustafson for best guides and vehicles. I have been to Tanzania twice with Todd and highly recommend his tours. He grew up in Tanzania and speaks Swahili so rapport with guides and locals is excellent. Only 3 photogs to a vehicle so you get a full row so that you can shoot from both sides of the vehicle which Todd has designed for photography!

I would think that the OP wants to see the big 5 as most newbies to African safaris wish to, so go easy and no need to nit pick. By the way, since when has North America include 23 countries ?? Is there no Central America and South America ?? Correct spelling for plural of safari is safaris, and expedition rather than expidition. Belize is definitely not in North America.

Who knew? https://www.countries-ofthe-world.com/countries-of-north-america.html

You must not have paid close attention in elementary school geography. The southernmost country on the North American continent is a little country called Panama, you may have heard of it. If Belize is not on the North American continent, where is it? The North American continent consists of Canada, Greenland, which is part of a European country, The USA, excluding the parts in the south Pacific, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Cuba, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Bahama, and a whole bunch of island nation's in the Caribbean.
Yes, there is a Central America, but it is NOT a separate continent, it is part of the North American continent. I never mentioned anything about the South American continent so I'm not sure why you have mentioned it. To answer your question, no, there most indeed is a South America, and it's a continent, unlike central America, which is not.

Speaking of nit picking, you're pointing out minor spelling errors on UHH?! You don't know what countries are part of the continent of North America but you jump on the plural spelling of safari?! Maybe you need to take heed of your own advice.

You also obviously missed the point. People always say, African safari, but Africa is a continent not a country. When asking for information it may be more helpful if the actual country the safari is taking place in is mentioned because each country is different.
