Very moody! I like. Actually I lived in Jacksonville for several years (about 40 years ago) and have no memory of ever seeing this beach. I lived in Orange Park and worked in downtown Jax but went to Jacksonville beach frequently. The driftwood in the foreground really has impact.

I live in the area, and we have no beach called black rock beach. This is called Big Talbot Island State Park. One of my favorite beaches in the area.

it came up on google maps as black rock beach and that's how I found it. yes, it is on big Talbot island state park. So I figured that was the name. Thanks for the correction.

Interesting............I've lived here more than 40 years, and never heard it called that. I wonder where Google got the information?

the Florida State Park video called it Black Rock Beach. It may have been more of a local term that was use it just caught on in recent years. Not sure? While my pictures don't portray the black rocks due to high tide, it makes sense where it would get the name from. Regardless it is Beautiful beach.
