Hey, hoggers - please recommend a free/inexpencive shutter count program for Canon - Thanks in advance.

Just one question...what is a free/inexpencive shutter count program?

? You should find your shutter count in the EXIF data.

I do not own Canon photography equipment, but I have 2+ friends who do. This very subject you raise I happened to come across recently, totally by coincidence. I sent the following to them. Note that I am in no position to recommend any of them.

$5
ShutterCount by DIRE Studio
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/shuttercount/id720123827?mt=12
for Canon, Nikon, and Pentax

See also https://www.direstudio.com/shuttercount/ at its Developer’s website.

Another $5 app for Canon Cameras - https://shuttercheck.app

Free app - EOS Count
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/eoscount/id879994207?mt=12

If you try any of these out, I recommend you 'pay it forward' by providing feedback, yay, nay, or neutral, as to whether such an app functions as promised.

Hey, Ched49, this is not to pick on or lambaste you in particular, but to comment on similar occurrences over two years ago on this website, when I remarked a few times about an OP's non-trivial spelling error or poor grammar, I would get called out not by just one, but by a passel of Hogs!

I see you’ve been a member longer than I. Is this still fashionable? Or something else?

Hey lev29, thanks for the lambaste, I wasn't looking for spelling error's in the poster's remark, simply typing what the poster wrote and didn't realize anything was spelled wrong until after I typed it... strange but true. I think your remark has no spelling error's...great job! And no, for me it was never fashionable to call out somebody for misspelled words... only when I'm in a mischievous mood and I actually never heard of a shutter count program for Canon.

That's really funny, Ched49! But skipnord and I both construed your first post the same way.

Not in Canon, you need shutter count software

Sorry, what does "per use" mean?

Are you referring to the # of different cameras one download can be used for? Or how many devices one has a license to use per download? Or did you simply mean $1.79?
