I would like to create a slide show of my better photos after I process them in Luminar. I always mark them with a star rating but I do not know how to proceed from there. Can the Hoggers suggest a program or is there a way in Luminar?

Google slide shows and you will find many options, some free, some you need to pay for. It all depends on what you want to achieve and what your computer platform is.

Apparently you can download Windows Live Photo Gallery for free and install it in Win 10. It will let you sort, run slide shows, and do quite a lot of other stuff. Search this "Does win 10 include windows live photo gallery?"- lots of info immediately available. I have 7 and the Windows Live Photo Gallery came with that. Very useful, IMO.

Dr. Don,
Win 10 has 'Photos" which includes creating a simple video, even with music. It is very simple to use. I just did a test to see how it works.

I have made quite a few slide programs with animoto.com, which is a web based program. It is fee based but you can sign up for just one month for $9/mo, to try it out. It is easy to use and you can add music, either from their music library or importing your own mp3. One secret is to remember you can keep re editing with just the push of a button and then choose the version you like best. The coolest thing about animoto is all the different dissolves, etc that give the slide show a very polished look.

IrfanView (freeware) works on Windows (not Mac) and will do slide shows. You can generate an executable file that you can send to another Windows computer.

I use Pro Show Gold and love it. Got to photodex.com to see how it works, examples, brief tutorials, and a free trial download. It’s about $70.

The product has been unavailable for download since January 10, 2017, as the Windows Essentials line of products have been discontinued. Previously downloaded copies continue to work, but downloading today is limited to non-Microsoft, non-official sources, and entails the risk of embedded malware.

ProShow Gold is great and you can produce professional style slide shows including voice-overs and music. I use it to produce our travel shows and get invited back each year to different groups just for our shows.

Fastone image viewer is a freeware excellent viewer that has some basic editing capability and a nice slide show function.
Good luck,

I have found a free programme called Photostage which gives a good range of animations and transitions. It also allows you to have music running during the slideshow. Just Google "Download Photostage Free" and you'll be right there.
