I got a couple phone calls this morning. Caller ID said it was from me and showed my phone number. I didn't know why I was calling so I was about to answer the phone to see what I wanted but decided to let the answering machine take the call instead. I figured if it was important I would leave a message. Since I didn't leave a message I guess it wasn't important.
Funny! This is becoming very common.
Good choice. If you decided to take the call,
you would end up talking to yourself for hours.
I did it once and now I just hang up.
I am a real pain to talk to...

But there are times when that may be your only intelligent conversation of the day.

I've had whole years like that.

Trust me: It always is. Even though, sometimes I would rather relax and
see a movie.
You may have something important to tell yourself.

I wish I got phone calls from myself to remind me of what I was trying to remember.

That is funny. The scammers are too smart for their own good. I frequently get phone calls from a local Maine number (I now live in Florida) from "the Hilton Hotel in Machias, Maine". Machias is a town of 3,000 people an hour from the nearest traffic light. A few small motels, which I don't think have been taken over by the Hilton company!
Yes, that happens occasionally. I forget the term for it, but technology lets callers have any phone number displayed on the receiving phone. I use a CPR 10000 call blocker, and that takes care of lots of annoyance.

Don't answer, since you know all your passwords and account numbers. You may scam yourself out of money.
It's a dang shame it's not a FELONY to spoof telephone numbers. Maybe they'd learn their lesson if they had to spend 20 years at hard labor.
