Frozen playback button Fuji X-T10

The playback button on my 2 year old X-T10 has "frozen", meaning it now sits somewhat turned from its normal position and of course I cannot review any pictures. (Maybe it gives me an excuse to get an X-T20.) Has anyone had this problem and do you have a suggested cure? Thanks.

On a Fuji X-T10 camera the Playback button is on the back and it does not turn. Their is a Focus Mode switch on the left front side as you face the camera. The Focus Mode switch does rotate from Manual to Continuous to Single. On the top right side as you face the camera is a Drive Mode dial which which can be set to panorama, double exposure, one of two pre-selected Advanced Filter modes, single shot, continuous low, continuous high, auto bracketing 1 or auto bracketing 2. You might wish to examine the Fuji manual to determine the purpose of whatever “button” is stuck.

I do mean the playback button, on the upper left back next to the trash can symbol. This button is turned about 30 degrees from its normal orientation, and will not display stored photos on the screen.

That sounds like a physical problem that Fuji should deal with. If you can't turn it back yourself without breaking something, contact Fuji. Maybe something grippy, like a pencil eraser, would let you turn it.

Loop1 - Your camera has been damaged. Return it to Fuji for evaluation and advice.

The playback buttons on all my Fujis do not turn - they are flush with the body and can only be pressed. Do you have any idea how such a button came to be turned? It would require quite an unusual force to turn a flush tiny button like the playback. As one person suggested perhaps something like a very sticky pencil eraser could be applied to the button to try and twist it back into position. If successfully repositioned and it still doesn't work, then you DO have a damaged camera that needs to go to Fuji repair.

It is a mystery to me how the button got turned. I was sitting quietly in a church taking a few shots before the bridal party came in. I looked at few few shots I had just taken, took a few more, and f the button was "turned" and inoperative. I tried the eraser trick with no luck.

Probably the little spring that keeps it flush broke and the button turned as the attached spring unwound. The repair is possibly as minimal as replacing that tiny spring. But only Fuji can do this.
