Your welcome. Your not alone with the arachnophobia! I detest spiders. Ugh. They have a purpose obviously, but just stay away from my house. I do like the mantis family. They are just as mean though.

Pg 1 - Oh wow, that's an awesome image, Jim!

Hi Tim,
I was using a AF-S NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8E FL ED VR Lens. I ended up shooting these handheld in order to get optimal position. Most shots I was 6-10' away. The photos were cropped quite a bit.

Love your spider pics!

I took this grasshopper photo a couple of weeks ago with a new (used) Nikkor 60mm f/2.8 macro G lens.

Never thought I would say this about a grasshopper but he is adorable! Great capture!

Nice capture! They remind me of something from a sci-fi movie they kind of look like little aliens...

Alright, it is Free Sunday once again. Thanks and accolades go to HardworkingGal and Photogirl17 for this past weeks challenges. The 3r’s and Nines made me think a little more about what and how I shoot. Come on by and share anything new you’ve learned about you camera, your post processing, or anything you’ve shot recently you would like to share for our pleasure. Even any leftovers from any of the challenges we’ve had recently.

I’m in Austin with family so this will be short and sweet. I know you guys will keep it going.
Alright, it is Free Sunday once again. Thanks and... (show quote)

I tried out a Vello ShutterBoss remote Bluetooth trigger on my Nikon D850, with a tripod, shooting hummingbirds.

My results were actually better shooting handheld and getting as close as the "flying Walendas" would let me.

Wonderful set Jim..

Thanks Larry for hosting another Free Sunday. Sorry haven't been on lately.
Have been very busy the last few weeks.
Including getting ready for my daughters wedding last Saturday.
Thought I would share a few here. Taken the day before when we decorated.

LOL. I had never seen one so green before so I grabbed the camera. He was really that green and blended in well with the plant. He is almost Kermit like. Ribbettttt. :)

We're nearing the end of our Scotland trip - the last couple of weeks have been very difficult as both of us are fighting a nasty cold which has severely curtailed our activities in Edinburgh - I haven't been able to shoot any of the locations I had planned! However, we have done a few things, including a visit to the Camera Obscura which provided a very entertaining couple of hours.
