Help requested from fellow UHH'rs.

I just lost my beautiful wife to colon cancer on august 18th. I have combed my archives and come up with the two attached photos which epitomize how beautiful she was and I wish to produce some 8 x 10's to frame. I have worked a little in PSE10 to change them but I am far from an expert. I know there are some very expert photoshop users on UHH and I wondered if any of them would care to take a look at the photos and see if they can tweak them a little for me. Your help would be gratefully appreciated.
Well, God bless you and your family in your time of grief, John. She obviously was a beautiful woman. I'm not in a location where I could attempt to help, but wanted to express my condolances. I'm sure others will quickly apply the assistance you're looking for

my deepest condolonces for your loss. She was a beautifal lady. My prayers for you and your family. I am still learning photo editing but will work on them for you. Someone more expirenced than me will probably also help you, I just feel in my soul the need to help you. This will take a little time as I am slow and clumsy but I will give you my best effort.

So sorry for your loss. She looks like a beautiful woman. Someone will help you here. The first shot on it's own is really nice.

I am in no way an expert but I hate to see you wait. In the mean time, here is what I would do with the first picture. She is lovely, and the picture is really not that bad. Hope this helps. Someone will do better.
The picture did not load correctly. I'll try again.

here is what I was able to do. I hope you like it. But it is alright if you don't as I am a green pea when it comes to serious photo editing. I had trouble with the horizontal shot #3 as it was soft in focus and your wife's skin tone was reflecting the lighting. I converted it also to a black and white with a vintage photo feel and frame around it (shot #4) Again don't worry about hurting my feelings if you don't care for them. It was a learning experience for me.
I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that we are thinking of you. I have tweaked your photo to extent that I know how. I hope someone will do a better job. She was a lovely woman.

Hi John.
We are all thinking of you in these difficult times and just want to say that if there is anything we can do over here in the UK, you know where I am.
The second image you posted was the one I saw as a challenge, mainly because it is slightly out of focus.
Having studied it, I decided that maybe a softer approach and possibly a more artistic look may work.

To Ian.....wonderful job!!!
I am so sorry for your loss. I am far from the best editor in here, but I thought I'd give your photos a shot.
