Mendocino, aka Cabot Cove, is a small town 5 blocks x 4 blocks with some outliers 130 miles North of San Francisco. The trapezoidal buildings in some of the pictures are old water towers. Most of them are now residences or artists' lofts. The tombstone is of a young woman who died in 1865, most likely during or after childbirth. The flowers are mostly dahlias from a botanical garden a few miles to the North.

I have lived in Mendocino for 25 years and have never heard it refereed to a Cabot Cove. thanks for the bit of history. Many movies have been filmed here including.....Summer of 42.

Great set! Been there and your images make us want to go again. It's 383 miles North of here and about an 8 hour drive but worth the trip. Thanks for sharing.
