How can anyone have the knowledge over the many camera brands to post 20,000 times in three years ...that's one very hour during waking time ...beware the mega posters

Nothing else to do. I agree with your analysis.

Never really paid attention - I believe even the megaposters sometimes have expertise in many types of equipment if they've been shooting for 50+ years as many seem to here. Ignore the rest and take the best.

You'd be surprised how fast it adds up by responding to each new member thread with a welcome and a thumbs up on other posts. Not much needs to be said.
It's not necessarily a bad thing.

Giving a or "That's interesting" comment to just the 25 Photo Gallery posts in the daily digest and you'll get to 9,100 posts in a year. You can regurgitate lens reviews and pricing information to fill in the rest of the count.

If you have specific instances, post them. If not, your post is meaningless.

I guess an old, retired guy who enjoys the photos and learns from the posts is offensive to you. Encouraging comments and admiration are evidently offensive and, therefore, you can disregard them. Everyone here does not imagine that they are the sole source of photographic knowledge. Sorry, that I did not know that the site limited comments to important photographers who impart outstandingly technical and artistic wisdom.

Not to worry, Mike; no one will ever surpass jerryc41* who has commented 114,397 times since September 2011, though there have been years I thought I might catch up to him

*Actually, Dirtpusher made a valiant attempt: 100,778 since October 2011.

Your total right now is 81001 - and none of them are “cheap”.

The other ting that gets me going is posts with a vast number of replies . When it gets to 50 new posters have not read all the pervious posts and the question must have been answered.
If a post has more than about 5 answers or a title that tells me nothing I don't bother.

Wow! Things must be slow if you have time for whining like this. Perhaps some need a hobby...
