Another Rehoboth Beach Photo or two

The first image is pretty close to the area of the boardwalk shot on another post. I found the diner clock interesting...it has palm trees on it! I'm pretty sure there aren't any palm trees in Deleware, let alone Rehoboth Beach. The last one was taken at a popular restaurant on a Saturday morning. There were at least 40 people standing, waiting for a table and these two women took up a bench that would have seated 5 people. I call it "White Privilege."

None of these belong in the Main Photography section.

I disagree. That sort of behavior is endemic to people in general and knows no color or ethnic boundaries.

Why? The All Sections button enables one to read the rules.

Reported as posted in the wrong section. Suggested your post be moved to the attic, where it belongs. Go debate this there not in the Main Photography Forum. You can call it anything you want - as can I - and this is clearly a post in the wrong forum. And being a baby about it by blocking me doesn't make your point any stronger. And learn how to spell Delaware or if you are spelling-challenged, just use the intials DE.

And yes, there are certain species of hardy Palm trees that thrive in DE - http://dctropics.blogspot.com/2014/10/hardy-palms-of-rehoboth-beach.html

I see them when I take a bike ride to Rehoboth, Dewey, Bethany, Fenwick and Ocean View. They make for nice landscaping.

I'm pretty sure you are wrong about there not being any palm trees in DE. You need to get out more. Just sayin'

Please forgive me, topic policeman! I will go forth and sin no more. Glad to see you have lots of free time.

I am having trouble understanding why beach scenes violate Main Photog forum rules. #4 of the ladies on the benches could fit into the People or Street forums. But the Attic - where is the ‘sludge.’

You're not supposed to post photos in the "Main" section unless they are used to illustrate your comments related to a photography topic. Unfortunately this isn't spelled out in "Main" section but it is in the Photo Gallery section.

It's not the content of the images that is verboten. But the accompanying commentary is clearly intended to incite non photography related argument. He would have been better off keeping his opinions to himself and letting the images speak for themselves, or better yet, post in the Attic.

As for silencing opinions, the only one was the last 4-word sentence: I call it "White Privilege."

Too bad you don't have enough free time to read the rules.

5 not 4. But yes, you are correct - it's the only opinion, and it has no business in this section.

So a parenthetical remark in brief condemns all those images. When it comes to parenthetical after-thought remarks there will always be someone who takes exception and thus bans one’s post.

Would you at least agree that the photos do not belong in the "Main" section since they are not posted to support a discussion of a photography topic?
