Need your help

I had my Uncle take a family pic of all grandchildren and great-grandchildren for a surprise 80 birthday for my grandmother. I thought I had the aspect ratio set so I can order an 8x10 without out it looking distorted. When I received the picture back from iphoto my sister on the far right (in the white shirt) is cut out of the picture. This is the picture that I sent...I do not have the picture with me of the one I got back. However, 3/4 of her body is cut out. I did take the picture in RAW if this helps at all. Is there a way to fix the aspect ratio so she is not cut out of an 8x10 picture?

This is what I came up with.
It's close, but it fits......
Where ever you get your prints done, take the image file and tell them you want to resize for 8x10. You want to see it before they print it. Make sure it is adjusted correctly.
Hope this helps.

It may cost more but under the circumstances I don't think you will mind. Have the shot printed in a size that will have everyone in the shot. Bring it to a custom framing place and have a matt cut to present the family as you would like it.

Thank you so much for your help Pat! I will take it to get printed this weekend. If you don't mind me asking how did you it? I am sure I will need to correct some more in the future.

My image program is Paint Shop Pro.
I clicked resize.
Selected 8x10.
Moved the overlay box around until it produced what you see.
Clicked apply.

The man on the left and the lady on the right, their hands are in the image. So, a little bit of each shoulder was cut off.

Don't know if you have a image program. There are many out there. Others are named Elements, Photo Shop, Aperature for Mac computers. I guess those are the common ones.

Here is a custom crop that he is talking about, also did a bit of sharpening---looks like it could use a little straightening so I did that also......

I cropped the picture slightly and brought out the colors a bit. used freeware(irfanview) for the post processing. I hope you'll like one of these!

In Windows Vista, the Windows Photo Gallery "Fix" menu has a "crop" option and 8x10 is one of the choices. Maximize the selection screen and then move it around, just like in PSP as above.

Thank you all for all of your help! Sorry it has taken so long to respond back. I started a new semester this week and it was a bit crazy. I go to school part time and also work as many hours as I can.
