They are all nice but I love the twinkle in the Tasmanian Gentleman's eyes. He looks like he would be a lot of fun to sit and hoist a pint or two with.

All VERY good!! Portraits like these make me feel like I am seeing more of 'who' the person is, rather than the 'flat' cookie-cutter style of most studio portraits!!

Thank you Wahawk, I love taking "candid" ie not posed shots of people. Your comment captures what I am trying to do. Not always successful but worth the effort for when you are. Thanks for your support.
Like your Avatar - how did you do that?

Avatar.... Started with a picture of a Pansy. Took it into PaintShop Pro x4, applied the Effect for Colored Enamel, then applied the Geometric Circle effect.

Original, Straight from Camera, just cropped.

Very good images, the second one (Scandinavian Man) is my favorite. One seems to be able to look into his soul. You captured a look that is spellbinding...I can almost imagine his story.

I think that the 2nd image if his face was that much darker his features like his skin would be more impressive and stand out.

I think you did a fantastic job on all three!
Did you use just natural lighting?

Thank you for your kind words. # 1was indoors at a fund raising function. He was a guest performer.
#2 was natural lighting - taken in the street in Finland somewhere - I forget the name of the place.
#3 was on camera (pop up) flash - taken indoors but there was a window behind me.

Thank you for your comments. You may be right. However the gentleman being Finnish, of naturally light skin, I decided to stay that way.
