Looks like it might have avian pink eye, which usually results in blindness and starvation. It is contagious. If you have bird feeders take them down and wash them thoroughly and also clean up the ground under them to prevent it spreading to other birds.

I hope it's not that. I have never seen a Thrasher on my feeder though I see them on the ground around it at times. I'll keep an eye on the other birds, though.

They are common here, vz. First time I have seen any bird with this condition, though.
