These are some photographs of Avro Lancaster B Mk VII, NX611 "Just Jane" taken at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, on the site of RAF East Kirkby on Saturday 14th September 2019.

Although "Just Jane" cannot fly she is capable of engine runs and taxying; it is hoped that she will be airworthy in the near future.

All images were taken with a Canon EOS 7D and Tamron 24-70 lens, in RAW format. Post-processing was with DxO Photo Lab 2.

That's a really nice set - and different. I really like the full frontal shot with the propellers going.

They are all very nice especially the one taken at sunset (?) and the one with the props running.

Much better than the usual 'planes sitting in the daylight' series!

Wonderfully done. A crisp tribute to those warbirds of my father's generation.
I almost hate to mention that we can see what I think are fog machines in the last two images. Quite possibly your situation didn't allow another placement or their hasty removal, and maybe only another photographer would notice.

I really love this set of night shots of the bomber. Most of us never get to see them at night.

That is a nice example of that plane and I hope they get her off the ground soon but it takes a lot of effort to restore and maintain these old warhorses to keep them airworthy.

Good luck to you and that team of aviators.

Great shots, I agree. What surprised me was the glamour girl nose art. I love it, of course, but was it not far less common on British aircraft than American?
