The nice thing about literature is that it can span time and regimens with amazing facility.

As for our physical relations to the animal world, one course, comparative anatomy, a college level course, should be taught to all students in high school. {The lab can involve a small number of specimens to study.) My daughter wanted to take a cadaver lab/course, however her counselor must have had a problem of some kind and diverted her college path. Fortunately what she is doing now is of a tremendous boon to her fellow human beings. But I digress. Personally, I wish all photographers would take at least one semester of comparative anatomy!

Yes, Faust!

Now Stephan, there are actually members of the Hog who were teachers/university professors and we don't want or need them popping out of the wood work to deliver their version of 'The Sermon On The Mount'. There are many fun things for high school kids to study, Eric Fromm's The Heart of Man, or that genius book Rats, Lice and History by Hans Zinsser.

Better still, have the Universities return to the time when Professors were truly educating students to think. You know, a final exam written in Blue Books, two weeks before the test date five questions were written questions were written on the black board, two were silly and would NOT be on the board because they were too simple, but three would be there for you to prepare for. On the day, two questions were written out again and you had to choose one to write on. You could use notes, books anything, and no one bothered with grammar or spelling, the only interest was for the student to take a position and argue that position and so demonstrate the understanding that one had gleaned from the lectures presented during the class times.

I was ever so luck to have such an early collage education the first two years, The University of Maryland, Munich Campus.

I agree. Schools should be *collages*. In the high school I attended it did mot matter that we got the expected answers. We were graded on how we got the answers we did get. Someone quipped about having to take the "long form" tests.

Now, unto the unveiling of "One A Day. Day 65".

VADA looks great after having shed a few pounds. She's got a wonderful body and beautiful face, and plays happily to the camera. Her shoe choice in these photos is excellent! She's really come into her own!
