Any Jeff Beck fans here? I’m going to see him next week in Austin. I don’t presume to say who is the “greatest” anything - I can just say who my favorites are. And on my personal list of favorite electric guitarists I have a two way tie for first place - Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck. Both pushed the boundaries of what an electric guitar can do. In his 70s, he’s at the height of his powers.

I've seen him in concert three times ... Once when he was with The Yardbirds and twice in Columbus, OH in the 90's. He never ceases to amaze me.
I saw Jeff Beck on the 2013 tour he did with Brian Wilson (I still think it's one of the strangest double bills ever). It was a strange contrast because you had Brian Wilson playing with Al Jardine, David Marks and a good band doing mostly Beach boys songs. They were fine, but there was nothing challenging or unexpected about the music. When Jeff Beck got out there though, his band seemed to challenge him, and for a guy who was 69 at the time, he responded and put on a great show. I was so happy to be able to check him off my list of "must see in person".
Im with you. Jimi and Jeff. Greensleeves would be one of my favorites
