Do you roll the dice to see what to look up and post?
The problem with many of the coal plants is emissions. Especially particle emissions. It was so bad many states regulations precluded using local sand- stored, mined, quarried, wh**ever- because so much pollution over time rendered it unsafe for concrete. There were towns and parishes that would write you a ticket as a polluter for hosing off the dust off your house and/or car.
The next problem was almost every pro coal bill included exempting these companies from any liability in their actions.
The problem with "Blackjewel" is it had become over encumbered. Bad managers and management. Greedy owners who took salaries and bonuses over commissions. Using loans to pay back debt rather than maintenance and growth. The total compensation of each of the top 5 board members is about what all 140 workers made. So they stopped payment on the workers to make up for inadeuuate business sense.
Did you actually read the words in that article? Blackjewel is operating under government overwatch to help preclude the previous corruption and policies. Maybe it'll work.
