Having both lived in NYC when the Twin Towers were being built and still been alive on 9/11 this shot always impacts me. Here's to our armed forces, present and past, and to our first responders and the victims and their families of this horrific event. America: Home of the Brave, and Land of the Free!
Thnx pop rock .., would have loved the downloadable ....
Thx everyone for your much appreciated comments

We were driving home 2 days after the event, across the Whitestone Bridge. We could see the fires burning where the Twin Towers used to be. It's a scene that is as vivid now as when we first saw it. There is a scar in the sky where those towers were. Your photos paint an important picture, Thanks for posting.
thx. yes, it's a day that I'll never ever forget
Thanks for sharing. I'm about 16 miles due east from the Towers-- 20 stories high. That evening was too overcast to see. A beacon directly through my soul.
