Now that is bizarre.
That appendage in the center must be the scraper to collect algae.
Nicely shot.
Thru glass, I presume?

Very, very nice and quite unique. I just read an article that listed the water snails as the 2nd most deadly animal with the mosquito being the first. The article said that aquatic snails are hosts to 'Blood Flukes' which have a very complex life cycle and infest humans.
