@UTMike - I went in August, it was VERY hot, and there were not many birds to observe so we were disappointed. Or maybe we just did not hike far enough. I hope you get to see a much bigger population in mid-September.
The best time is the March - May time when Ibis Island is a busy rookery with many newly hatched occupants.
