Here is a bit of in-context mural work,
under an overpass, near home acoarst,
cuz I'm not much at touring. There is
a school nearby, a charter school by all
appearances, and there may be some
connection ... but I don't really know.
I see the "story book" themes and so I
think, "Well, could be".
The series also reveals that sometimes
I do more than just document what I've
found. So often it's faded, or never in a
favorable light, or otherwise in need of
"additional artistry" and so then I'll just
dive right into major processing.
Acoarst, photography is sooooo much about
timing, catching the "right" moments. In this
case the moments are about 20 hours apart.
It looked different a day later, so I did it over.
This is on the entrance to the alley behind a
hardware store, but easily visible to drivers
and pedestrians on the main road.
3rd image is cropped to the artist's sig, with
date. This work is only 5 yrs old, but done in
a "faux vintage" style. It will look less "faux"
when it starts to crack and peel ;-)
(And artist's sig is just a crop-to-corner, not
a separate close focus shot, from a cheapo
m4/3 and one of those 10X "travel zooms".)

That stencil-and-spray [correct ?] figure
might be a modular set of stencils, so as
to execute work quickly, yet allow a great
variety of action figure postures. It would
allow the artist to work fast, and then get
outa sight even faster. Ingenious if so !
I think so - we saw quite a few of these in Paris.
I will join in with some urban art. I'll return later with graffiti too.

Pat's gonna co-host this, cuz I do not have a
continuous online connection. IOW, I would
not have enough connection time to reply
with comments for every participant the way
Pat does. Anywho, here's a few examples to
launch the topic ... and I'll add more later !
Thanks so much for hosting ,User-we appreciate the effort !
I usually avoid graffiti in my photo composition...but I was surprised at how many shots I found that fit
the bill!
