I loved his work--especially the short stories.

I love all of his work. He is such a great writer of our time.

A similar German writer: Erich Maria Remarque (All quiet on the western front) - I'd read all of his work as well.

H was one of the best American writers (I’m an old lit teacher), and your photos tell their story well.

Very nice images of a historic place. Did you notice something unusual with the legs of those cats? The majority of them have an extra digit.

Welcome to the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum web site. Located at 907 Whitehead Street and nestled in the heart of Old Town Key West, this unique property was home to one of America’s most honored and respected authors.

Ernest Hemingway lived and wrote here for more than ten years. Calling Key West home, he found solace and great physical challenge in the turquoise waters that surround this tiny island.

Step back in time and visit the rooms and gardens that witnessed the most prolific period of this Nobel Prize winner’s writing career.

Educated tour guides give insightful narratives and are eager to answer questions.

Wander through the lush grounds and enjoy the whimsy of the more than forty cats that live here.

The Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum is a significant address on any Key West itinerary. The museum welcomes thousands of visitors from around the world and looks forward to welcoming you!

Hi,

Hemingway is one of my all times favorite writer. The first time I read his first novel in college (in VN - Translated version) I could not stop reading all of his novels.

Hope you enjoy the home/museum one of American, if not the world, literature giant.

Best regards

They have 6 toes per foot and are famous for this defect. It's a wonder anyone talked about anything else, including the former owner ...

I was in Key West a month ago and my BNB was only 2 blocks away from there. I didn't visit it because it was 95 degrees and the line was way down the sidewalk. It was just too hot for me. SO, I really appreciate your post. It gives me a little glimpse of what I missed. Thanks.
