Did you get some sort of approval to do the shoot? What would have happened if a law enforcement officer happened upon you.
We approved the shoot! Once, at a model shoot in New Hampshire, a Ranger did stop by while we were shooting to check things out. This was the exception and we rarely encountered others. We always go early in the AM and usually a Monday or Tuesday and look for isolated spots to avoid tourists, runners and hikers. My buddies and I had scouted the area around Portland, PA a week earlier, after a rainfall, before the shoot and found a small stream and the waterfall(s) about a mile or so from town about 50 or 60 feet below ground level. The water bed was gradually sloped and we were able to walk down to the water. We photographed early on a Monday morning and never saw anyone in the 5 or 6 times we've shot there. Through the years, the stream and falls died and now there are only rocks, tree trunks and branches and much debris exposed. We no longer shoot there but have used Dingman's Ferry, upstate NY in Harriman State Park, Highfalls and in the Catskills since.
Thanks again for your kind words. Be well!
