Start and finish images of yesterday's meet. Canon 70 - 200, ISO- 400, f6.3, 1/1000.
Images 2-6 were shot at f7.1.

Looks good. You might recrop removing the open space in most of these images, particularly the image of runner 846. You might look at the position of your AF point(s) if it's leading to centered images with the open space in many of your frames. Consider the first image that is a nearly eye-level with the runners. The runner's feet are missing while the upper 1/3 of the frame has background trees rather than the participants. Changing the aspect to 16:9 will focus better on the runners while also removing the open space above the runners.

I agree with chg. about the framing, cropping. Try not to cut of runners legs, or crop at just above the knee.
Exposure is off a bit. Do you shoot in manual, shutter priority?
Good work here, just needs some fine tuning.

I agree with everything the two of you said. These were shot in manual, and the exposure was way off. The cropping and framing are also off. I have work to do and positive criticisms to help me achieve my goal to improve. Thanks for your thoughts.
