I was on a motorcycle ride. In my saddlebag was a Rebel T6s with a basic Tamron 062 DiII 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 VC PD (both camera and lens bought used). I'm still reluctant to carry my EOS R and better lens on the bike, but wish I had. I don't even have the T6s set to shoot RAW. Still, I like what I got.

I came over to see if you'd posted anything and found this one first. Wow! We don't get those around here. ;-) Love the pictures... and the backgrounds are kind of interesting. Where were you that you'd have such a cool wagon in the background?

Those are great shots. The horizon seems tilted in photos one and three. I took photo three and used the leveling ruler in my editing software. I leveled the dirt road in the background.

Nice set. Doesn't matter what you shot it with.

Thanks! Your observation may be right, though the area did have some odd tilts, especially leading away from the power pole to the left. But your revision to #3 does look like an improvement. I'll take a look at others from my set of about 75 shots. (Oops! Make that 150 shots. I'd divided by 2 automatically since I usually shoot both jpg and RAW. But I'd stopped doing RAW with the Rebel.)

I appreciate the review!

I was at the end of a public road that runs into the midst of a private guest ranch. I had stopped where the road branched into 3 private roads, turned around, and there this bighorn sheep stood chomping on the weeds growing around the guy wire of a power pole next to the yard of what I suspect is one of the ranch owners' cabin. I calmly withdrew my camera from the motorcycle's saddlebag, expecting the ram to bolt at any second, but he hung around while I shot about 150 photos. (I said 75 to CO, but I typically shoot both RAW and jpg, so I just automatically divide in 2 when I calculate what I've shot. Experimentally, I stopped doing that with the Rebel, but I think I'll reverse myself.)

Here's something else I found in that yard that I liked.

Nice! I wonder if those plants are "goat-resistant." ;-)

It makes me feel a little bad seeing the old seat out in the weather. I wonder if they just put the wagon out at certain times of year to limit the exposure. They are neat looking... sad to see them rot away (like the old barns).

Your photo of the wagon is great. That's an unusual find. I'm looking at the photo and wondering if the brown house in the background could have been eliminated. Maybe a slightly different angle. A different angle would show more of the spokes of the wagon's wheels also. I'm not saying anything derogatory about it. I think is excellent.

I hope that I edited your goat photo again doesn't anger you. It's such a good image. There's one more adjustment that could be good. The goats head is too much in the shadows. The goats eyes almost blend in with its head. I boosted shadow areas a little to open up the shadows and make the eyes a little more visible.

Great set. Some luck involved but, you just being out with your camera improves your odds tremendously!
I used to ride & felt the same way. If I was gonna do it again , the camera grar would probably end up in a backpack while riding, solo anyway.
