MB-D10 Question

I have battery grips for the D100, D200, and now the D700. Anybody know why the new one holds only one battery while the other battery occupies it's regular space and the grip must be removed to charge the second battery. Not a major problem but a curious change.

If I remember correctly, I believe it's because you can also use a larger battery inside the grip which would not fit if you had 2 in there. I think if you use the larger battery you can get a faster frame rate. (I may be completely wrong as it's been a while since I Looked into the grip and I might be thinking of something else)

Thank you, I hadn't noticed but I'll bet that EN-EL4a is larger. They want $109 for it so I did not look too close.

Lol like everything in photography, the batterys are expensive. If you do feel like buying the bigger battery at a later time be sure to check the paperwork from the grip to make sure it's the right one
