Trying to get used to a new extension tube set on a 24-105 lens. So far I confirmed what I already knew, that more magnification comes from less focal length, not more, but that reduces working distance, that more extension also softens image quality, reduces depth of field, and eats light, and that sometimes its better to get a little 'magnification' from cropping instead of putting a longer tube on. Not bad for $39 though.
