I feel your pain. I gave up several years ago and installed Lastpass. It's free and you can install it in your browser on any computer you use. It will generate a really nasty password for you when joining a new site or changing a password. Your information is stored "in the cloud" all encrypted.

I have never had a problem with it and they have not been hacked - that I know of.

The problem with a password like that is you will forget it. And, after three BLOody attempts, you get locked out. DAMN! Ya just can't win!

Passwords are part of a grander plan: the intent is the establishment a regime of You_Cannot_Pass words. When the plan is eventually realized we will all have been locked out of every account.

A husband and wife are setting up their new computer when it requests a password. The husband, attempting to be funny, types in,

"Mypenis"

His wife falls out of her chair laughing uncontrollably. He looks at the screen. It displays,

"Error. Not long enough."

Too bad this forum does not have a "Like" feature, similar to Facebook, etc. I have seen so much humor that I'd just like to "Like" to show my appreciation. This post is one that would have gotten it.

Before I retired we had to use numbers, lower case, upper case and special characters. My last pattern began with "100%S_____System" it was incremented by 1% each month. By retirement it was near 150%. Easy to get right with less than 3 guesses and fun when the guy from India answered the (no) help (whatsoever) phoneline.
