Mother Nature was at her finest this morning, the light, the colors, the wind and water were beautiful. I could not resist getting closer for a photo even though I was all dressed for work. While I was paying attention to my composition, it happened. A big wave came up high on the break wall drenching my legs and shoes. I went to work wet. No complaints, the photos were worth it to me.

Yes, as it was raised up to my face at the time, and as I responded to the splash, I raised it up higher. This is also a time I am glad for fresh water lakes.

So long as it didn't drench the camera, who cares about the clothes?! Really nice pictures, by the way.

Totally understand how one can enter a "Zen" moment while composing behind that TARRON SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2 lens...

Seems that the transition between wide & mild tele has a transformative power on one's mind... lifting it to a state of becoming one with an aura latent within... Even more intriguing is that you ultimately choose to split the difference between these two realities and chose the "nature" angle of view provided by 52mm... Given the choice true reality prevailed here at the moment of shutter release...

In my humble estimation the enchanting interplay of color harmonies in the reflections of the first image are truly breathtaking...

Thinking back on my long walks on the superb hiker/biker trail along Lake Michigan's shores in Chicago I can relate... That epic sapphire blue expanse of aquatic majesty is so wonderfully mesmerizing...

Thank you for sharing justhercamera and bringing back those magical walks along Lake Michigan's iconic shore line...

All the best on your journey... Namaste
