Does anyone have enough interest in light painting to have built their own light wand? I made one utilizing a T8 fluorescent light guard and a PowerTac M5 1300 lumen small flashlight. Initial brightness was very good but faded much faster than predicted on the literature that came with the light. I taped off the back half of the tube and even lined it with reflective silver foil. Very frustrating. The videos on line give some suggestions for batteries and construction but fail to address this loss of brightness over a very short period of time. The tube still looks bright but the photos clearly show a major fade in intensity.
